Snazzy Tapir Productions is a small studio making podcasts and telling unusual stories. All podcasts are made by me, Maddy Searle (she/her). The first season of The Prickwillow Papers was released by Snazzy Tapir Productions in 2018-2019, and I am currently working on a new audio drama project, Rapscallion, which is in its early stages.
I am a writer, voice actor, sound editor and audio producer. I studied for a master’s degree in Radio at Goldsmiths, University of London, and was awarded a Pass with Distinction.
I was lead editor on Stellar Firma, an improvised science fiction podcast from Rusty Quill. I won awards in both the Environment and Action Sound Design categories in the Audio Verse Awards 2020 for my work on Stellar Firma. I was also the showrunner, director and lead editor for Inexplicables, Rusty Quill’s Patreon-exclusive audio drama.
I was one of four finalists in Audible’s Audio Drama Production Competition 2019.
I am the producer of Women Vs Hollywood with Helen O’Hara, a brand-new podcast from Stripped Media which explores the past, present and future of women in the film industry, and is based on Helen O’Hara’s non-fiction book of the same name. Since June 2021, I have worked as an editor on The Love of Cinema podcast, which is produced by Stripped Media for Picturehouse Cinemas.
I am a player and a Game Master on the actual play podcast Realms of Peril and Glory which is produced by The Light and Tragic Company. I play Isadora Ravenwood in Vael and I am the Game Master for the upcoming Agon campaign.
